I am a senior living on a fixed income and have just been diagnosed with this season's flu. My doctor prescribed "Timiflu" but when I went to the pharmacy to pick it up I discovered that I'd have to pay $117.
out of pocket for it.!!!! This is impossible for a low income person on a fixed income. I called Envision Plus and tried to reason with them, telling them my health and prehaps life was on the line (I'm 75 and flu's sometimes kill people my age). I was given a lot of bureaucratese garbage and basically told "that's the way it is." ("This is because it's January and you haven't paid your deductible yet").
I ask you what kind of system is this that would allow a person in danger to not get the medication they need when the HAVE medication insurance. I ask you why Medicare is farming out customers to such a ripoff organization when they can't meet the needs of the kind of people (seniors on fixed incomes) who are on Medicare.
